Keep your kids happy & healthy this summer & fall!

Starland’s Rec Program is an exciting opportunity for kids ages 5 – 14 to meet new friends through sports, games, arts & crafts and outdoor activities. Our 2020 program runs from 9AM until 5PM (early drop-off and late pick-up available) and starts Monday, June 15, running through January 1, 2021.

Starland has implemented new safety and cleaning procedures, per the recommendations of Hanover’s Department of Public Health, the Governor, and CDC, that ensures we are providing the best possible care for every camper. Specifically:

  • Every morning each camper will, 1) have their temperature taken with contact-free thermometers and 2) verbally screened with their parent or guardian
  • Encouraged social distancing by creating dedicated groups no larger than 10 campers per 1 counselor that do not co-mingle with other groups
  • Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected by staff every 2-3 hours
  • Each group will have a designated cleaning station to promote frequent hand-washing and sanitizer use
  • All Starland counselors and employees are requires to wear face coverings; campers are strongly encouraged
  • Activities will be primarily outside unless there is inclement weather

We strive to ensure all campers and staff are proactively scanned and all social distancing guidelines are adhered to. In the case that there was a suspected case of COVID-19 at Starland, we’ll work closely with Hanover’s Department of Public Health to ensure we minimize the risk to any campers or staff.

We’ve given our camp an overhaul this summer to include more outdoor activities, including capture the flag, tie dying, water balloon tosses, miniature golf, nature walks, soccer, and more! Kids should expect to be outside playing games, unless there’s inclement weather.
