Natalie Cohen returns for her third season on the sidelines and fourth overall overseeing the men’s and women’s volleyball programs at Dean College in Franklin, MA. In addition to her coaching responsibilities with the College, Cohen also oversees equipment operations for the department’s intercollegiate programs. Originally hired in 2015 to recruit for both programs that were launched in the Fall of 2016, Cohen arrived at Dean with an impressive resume as both a high school and collegiate student-athlete.

Cohen has made quick work with both programs over the past two years. The 2017 Women’s team placed 5th in the New England Collegiate Conference and the 2017-2018 Men’s team finished third overall in the NECC.

A decorated high school player, Cohen played for a Barnstable program that went 99-0 in her four years and won four state titles. Along with her exploits on the volleyball court, she also won a state title as a member of the girls’ ice hockey team.

Cohen was a two-time Old Colony League All-Star, both a Boston Globe and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic selection and was voted to the Coaches Association Division I All-State team her senior year.

She went on to play collegiately at Bridgewater State where she helped guide the Bears to the MASCAC Tournament championship and the NCAA Tournament during her sophomore campaign. During that season, she was named MASCAC First-Team All-Conference after doling out 918 assists in 34 matches. A rare three-year captain at BSU, Cohen ranks seventh on the school’s all-time assists list with 1,847.

Cohen graduated with a bachelor’s of applied science degree in physical education in 2011 from Bridgewater State University. Natalie has coached for Cape Cod Junior Olympic volleyball, and North East Beach Volleyball. She also is member of the coaching staff for the Cape Cod Volleyball Camps.
