Starland's Commitment

Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park is committed to making an impact in our community and giving back to charitable organizations in and around the South Shore. Only a limited number of donations can be made within a fiscal year, and we appreciate all community partners’ support and understanding.

Eligible Organizations

We support non-profit organizations only, defined as charitable corporations that have been granted tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We ask that organizations requesting support provide a minimum of 12 weeks’ notice prior to your event. Your request must serve individuals within the South Shore area, centered around Hanover. Your organization must have an emphasis on causes that support local children and/or healthy living.

Ineligible Organizations

Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park cannot offer donations to individuals, families, political parties/campaigns, religious, or fraternal organizations. Application for Consideration: Donation requests must be made in writing 12 weeks prior to the date in which the donation is needed b filling out the form below. NO phone calls, voicemails or mail-in information will be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Requests must include:

  • TAX ID:  If your organization is a registered nonprofit, you must include your tax ID number and the state where you are formally registered as a not-for-profit/tax-exempt organization as defined by IRS Code 501(c)(3).
  • SUMMARY:  A brief summary about your organization, including what you do, whom you help, and where you receive your primary funding.
  • REQUEST: Include a brief summary of your request, including the deadline of the request.
  • WEBSITE: Include a link to your organization’s website, if applicable.

Tuesday Night Women Basketball League

Teams are scheduled to play 8 games with additional playoff games. Games consist 4, 10 minute quarters with running time. Two certified IAABO officials and a scorekeeper will be supplied for each game. Games begin at 8pm or 850PM The format will be as follows:

Playoff Bracket is determined by number of teams registered:

12 teams = top 8 teams make playoffs, bottom 4 teams eliminated
10 teams = top 8 teams make playoffs, bottom 2 teams eliminated
8 teams = All teams make playoffs

Thursday Beginner Basketball Academy Grades K-4

New to the game of basketball? This 7 week program will consist of games and skill work that will gauge your beginner’s interest in basketball. We will work on introductory skills and learning the game. Skill work will involve the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting while also incorporating teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will be spilt into groups by age/skill level. Small games 2 v 2 3 v3 . T shirt Included

Tuesday Little Hoopers

This program teaches the basics of basketball in an exciting, fun, safe learning environment. This is an introductory class where players will be taught fundamental basketball skills as well as participating in fun games using the skills we learn.

This is a great program for any child wanting to get started in basketball and fall in love with the game. Area focused on: dribbling, pivoting, positioning, passing, and overall team play.
