After you enjoy your Fun Park, we will be tipping off an action-packed night of competitions to showcase your skills. See list below (please note eligibility requirements).
Knockout (Grades 3-10)
Coaches can nominate one player for this event. Players will form a single file line handing the balls to the first two players in the line. The first player will shoot, once they have gotten their shot off, the player behind them may shoot. Everybody’s first shot must be taken from the free-throw line. If the first shooter makes a basket before the second, they hand the ball to the next person in line. If the second shooter makes a basket before the first, the first shooter is eliminated. The balls are then handed to the next two players in line and play resumes. The order of the players can never change during the game. The game continues until all but one player has been knocked out.
Skill Competition (Grades 3-10)
Coaches can nominate one player for this event. Players will go through an obstacle course that will challenge their ball handling, shooting, passing accuracy and speed. Layout of the course will not be made public before this competition!
Shooting Competition (Grades 3-5 ONLY)
Coaches can nominate two players for this event. Players will have two minutes to score as many points as they can. Only one player is allowed to shoot at a time, the other player can rebound. Scoring system is as follows: Layup (1 Point), Free throw (2 points), and 3 pointer (3 points). Top two duos advance to the championship round.
3 Point Contest (GRADES 5-10)
Coaches can nominate one player for this event. There will be 4 racks placed in both corners and wings. Each rack will contain 5 basketballs. Each made basket is one point. The last ball in each rack is the money ball and is worth two points. A perfect score is 24 points. Each player will have 60 seconds to shoot from the racks. Top 3 players from each division will advance to the championship round.
Team Shootout (Grades 6-10)
Coaches can nominate up to 5 players for this event. Teams will have to make 10 layups, 5 jump shots from the white line, 5 jump shots from the orange line, 5 free throws, 5 3-pointers, and 1 half-court shot (in that order). Time will stop once the half-court shot is made. Top two times will advance to the championship.
Coaches, submit your ballots to email@example.com by July 15th!
