Specialty Clinics with Coach Arlene Petrunich

April 1, 8, 22, 29 (No class Patriot’s Day April 15)
Clinics are progressive with each class focusing on one or two skills per week:
Week 1: Dinks and block volleys
Week 2: Serves and returns
Week 3: The 3rd shot
Week 4: Putting it all together and playing out points

Clinic times:
9:00-10:00 AM: 

Skills and Drills for the Intermediate Player–For the player who understands the overall concepts of the game and would
like to hone their skills and knowledge to play well at the intermediate level and beyond. Emphasis will be placed on paddle and court positioning
while working on stroke consistency.

10:00-11:00 AM:

Skills and Drills for the Advanced Player–For the tournament player or player who would like to play in tournaments in
the future. Emphasis will be placed on fine-tuning skills needed to be successful at the tournament level.

11:00-12:00 PM:

Skills and Drill for the Advanced Beginner–For the newer player who would like to play with more consistency and learn
more about doubles strategy and proper court positioning.

$75 per person per session plus $5 court fee per class = $95 total

Minimum of 4 players, maximum of 8 players per session.

Teach the Teacher Pickleball Workshop

with IPTPA President & Master Teaching Professional Seymour Rifkind

March 19th and 20th
9AM-1PM

Participants of this 2-day, 8 hour event will learn how to effectively teach pickleball to new beginner players.

Participants who complete the workshop will receive an IPTPA Certificate of Completion.

Those that meet satisfactory standards and pay the annual dues will be sent an access code to take the written exam and upon passing will be awarded the title certified level I Pickleball Instructor and be entitled to IPTPA’s benefit package.. IPTPA is the world leader in developing teaching standards in the sport of pickleball. Each participant will be given an IPTPA Handbook, which forms the basis of the course content.

Day 1 is in the classroom learning the IPTPA teaching methodology. Day 2 is implementing the methodology on court with individual instruction provided each participant.

Certified Rating Specialist Pickleball Workshop

with IPTPA President & Master Teaching Professional Seymour Rifkind

March 19th
1:30PM-5:30PM

Participants of this 1-day, 4 hour event will learn how to effectively rate Pickleball players.

Participants who complete the workshop will receive an IPTPA Certificate of Completion.

Those that meet satisfactory standards by passing the on-court feeding test and scoring test will be invited to join IPTPA by paying the annual dues. Upon receipt they will be awarded the title Certified Rating Specialist (CRS) and will be entitled to IPTPA’s benefit package. IPTPA is the world leader in developing teaching standards int he sport of Pickleball and has developed the world standard in a skills-based rating program.

Part 1 of our workshop is in the classroom learning IPTPA rating methodology. Part 2 is on the court ball feeding test. Part 3 is the direct application of all components learned by rating various aspects of an court rating session.
